January 31st. /MEDIA TALK/. Artyom Zdunov and Alexander Uspekhi discussed the plan of road works on federal roads located in the territory of Mordovia for the current year and the near future.

According to the Head of the region in his Telegram channel, two sections were repaired last year: R-178 – Saransk-Surskoye-Ulyanovsk and R-158– Nizhny Novgorod-Arzamas-Saransk-Issa-Penza-Saratov. In addition, the Tatarsky Ravine crossing on the Saransk-Surskoye-Ulyanovsk highway was overhauled and the bridge over the Insar River on the M-5 Ural highway was renovated.

This year, work will continue on the highway that connects Saransk and Ulyanovsk.

"This is an important road for the republic, which connects several key regions. There is a lot of traffic on it. Its repair is a top priority and it is necessary to complete all planned work as soon as possible," the Head of the Republic of Moldova emphasized.

Alexander Uspekhi, in turn, said that the contractor would begin repairs primarily at this facility. In the next two years, about 51 kilometers of pavement will be renewed on this highway.

Also during the meeting, they discussed a problematic area – the Krasnoslobodsk bypass. Significant wear of the roadway layers has been revealed here. Two sections with a total length of about 30 km are expected to be identified for repairs on federal highways.
