In 2024, 226 million rubles were allocated for the overhaul of Voronezh sports facilities within the framework of the municipal program "Development of Physical Culture and Sports". Most of it, namely 180 million rubles, was allocated for the renovation of the municipal sports palace "Yubileyny".
According to Galina Langavaya, acting head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, work has been underway there for the second year. And if in 2023 the emphasis was placed on the repair of technical systems and the facade of the facility, then in 2024 work was carried out to improve the condition of the interior. In particular, a new lighting system for the ice arena was installed, and a modern dehumidifier was put into operation. Repairs were carried out on more than 4 thousand square meters. A self-leveling floor was installed there, doors were replaced and other work was done.

"We have signed a contract with the Novosibirsk plant of LED products for the manufacture and installation of a multimedia video cube. These works are planned to be completed by the end of 2024, which will increase the entertainment of the Buran hockey club matches this hockey season," added Galina Langavaya.
In addition, on behalf of the head of Voronezh, Sergey Petrin, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports is constantly working with potential investors to create sports facilities at the expense of extra-budgetary sources of financing.
"At the moment, nine applications have been received from investors for the allocation of land plots for the creation of sports infrastructure facilities. These are ice arenas, swimming pools, multifunctional complexes for game sports, specialized facilities for the development of beach sports, tennis and others. There are already positive decisions of the commissions on three applications, and investors will start implementing projects in the near future," said the acting head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports.

An agreement on the construction of a sports facility for football and volleyball on Perevertkin Street is currently under signing. According to the project, it is envisaged that the investor will provide free hours for pupils of the municipal sports school No. 25, which develops these sports.
As for the plans, 18 sports facilities are going to be renovated in Voronezh in 2025. For these purposes, funds in the amount of 81645 thousand rubles are provided in the budget.
