The Ski and Biathlon Center of Mordovia gathered a record number of participants for the Russian Summer Biathlon Championship tournament — 276 athletes from 33 regions of the country.

The opening of the championship began with individual roller ski races: boys competed at a distance of 10 km, and girls competed at 7.5 km. Among the representatives of Mordovia, Mikhail Chistotkin-Dukhanin showed the best result, taking 4th place in this discipline.
The sprint races were next: the girls ran 3 km, the boys - 4 km— In the cross-sprint, Victoria Erin, a native of the Republic of Mordovia, also failed to climb the podium, stopping a step away from it. Then the participants worked as a team and competed in the cross-country relay: 3x3 km for girls and 3x4 km for boys. The organizers noted the high level of the tournament.
