A solemn event dedicated to awarding the winners of the prestigious award in the field of event tourism - Russian Event Awards 2024 was held in the capital of the Republic of Mari El, the city of Yoshkar—Ola. Projects created in the Volga Federal District participated. 12 regions presented a little more than two hundred events, including festivals, national holidays, concerts, reconstructions and the like. 160 projects were selected for the final.
The Republic of Mordovia presented three events that won prizes. They have reached the finals and will fight against tourism projects that have been carried out in the regions of the whole country. The "Calendar of events in the Republic of Mordovia 2024", developed by specialists of the Tourist Information Center of Mordovia, became the silver medalist in the nomination "The best regional calendar of tourist events".

Another second place was won by the Republican national folklore festival "Velen ozks". This is an Erzya ceremonial holiday, which includes a rite of worship to one's ancestors. The festival was held in Bolsheignatovsky district, in a clearing near the village of Chukaly. At the competition, he was presented in the nomination "Event dedicated to the Year of the Family".
The Time of Heroes festival, which took place in Saransk and gathered thousands of spectators, won the third place in the nomination "The best tourist event in the field of culture and art among cities with a population of over 100,000 people."
It is worth noting that the award is awarded annually for the most successful projects in the field of event tourism. Its purpose is not only to encourage, but also to popularize these projects, as well as to attract attention to them from the authorities and the general public.
