Ufa summed up the results of the "Route of the Year 2024" competition, in which the best tourist projects were identified, and projects from Mordovia were among the winners.
In the nomination "The best route for a family holiday", the first place was taken by the project "Path to the origins". It offers a variety of activities for travelers in the village of Parakino, near the ethnocenter "House of Traditions". In summer you can go hiking or cycling, and in winter you can go skiing.
The Path to the Origins project was implemented thanks to a state subsidy within the framework of the national Tourism and Hospitality Industry project. In the village of Parakino, three routes for tourists were developed with these funds.
In the category "The best city excursion route", the eco-route in the center of Saransk took the honorable second place.

This route is a real adventure that will allow you to get acquainted with various types of trees, plants and animals, as well as historical and natural attractions of the capital of Mordovia.
The tour is conducted by experienced guides from the Mordovian State Nature Reserve. They will help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the city and learn a lot about its history, nature and culture.
In the nomination "The best route for rural tourism", the third place was taken by the project "Mordovian Hospitality".
This project offers travelers a unique opportunity to visit the cheese house "Mardarika-Shoksha", where 12 different flavors of canned goat cheese "Mardarika" are produced.
This cheese not only has a unique taste, but also has an original packaging made by hand. It gives the cheese a special charm and aesthetic appeal.
In the competition "The best gastronomic route", the third place went to the project "Delicious weekend with a Mordovian accent". This is a two-day tour that includes a visit to Saransk on the first day and the villages of Parakino and Podlesnaya Tavla on the second day.
