The head of Voronezh, Sergey Petrin, spoke about the fate of the Tanais Park, about which residents ask many questions. According to the mayor, the territory has been given over to a concession project.

Sergey Petrin keeps in touch with businessmen developing the space. He recently met with Eduard Tolokonnikov to discuss the organization of parking spaces near the park and the connection of power grids to the facilities. Eduard Krasnov and Dmitry Khvastunov are also working on the project.

The mayor shared that the park is changing before our eyes. An emergency cafeteria and an old toilet were dismantled in it, and temporary booths were equipped. Workers also paved the health ring road with asphalt. It is adapted for running, cycling and roller skating, Nordic walking, roller ski training and other activities.

At the moment, lighting is being installed and options for installing fences around the entire park are being worked out.

"As agreed, initially the renovation of the territory began with works aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of citizens. In parallel, the design of commercial facilities and other locations for recreation and walks is underway – a central alley, a barbecue area, a playground," the mayor said in his Telegram channel.

Businessmen will invest more than 400 million rubles in the reconstruction of the space. The territory will remain city property. The mayor instructed the relevant departments to support the concessionaires.

Recall that the assembly of the main New Year's tree has begun in Voronezh.
