The accreditation of the Russian press is handled by the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Olympic Games.
Russian journalists from RIA Novosti Sport were denied accreditation to cover the 2024 Olympics in Paris. In 2023, the International Olympic Committee deprived the Russian relevant body of the functionality of the National Olympic Committee. Because of this, the Paris Games organizing Committee deals with accreditation issues directly.

The news agency applied for five of its journalists in February this year. The day before, each of them received a letter from the organizing committee about the refusal with reference to the Internal Security Code and the data of the competent administrative authority. The reason for the negative decision was not disclosed.
It is also reported that the French Interior Ministry did not allow many journalists to enter the country. Most of them are Russians and Belarusians, RIA Novosti Sport reports.
