
In 2025, a plant for deep processing of pulp from miscanthus, which was brought out by Siberian specialists, will be built on the territory of the Moscow region. The project of the industrial partner of the Novosibirsk Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS received financial support from the Industrial Development Fund. If successful, production is planned to open in the Kaliningrad and Novosibirsk regions.

It will take two years to start the plant. The facility will be built in Dulevo, near Moscow. At the first stage, the production of soluble cellulose for the manufacture of cellophane film, cellulose fiber of textile quality and other goods will be launched.
Earlier, specialists of the Biotechnocomposite enterprise, together with experts from the Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis of the Russian Academy of Sciences, were able to produce soluble cellulose from miscanthus for the first time in the world. Fields for shoots of ornamental grass were also sown in the Moscow region and a production line for the production of cellulose and biodegradable disposable tableware was launched, Interfax reports.
