Vologda hosts a visiting school of restoration of architecture and tempera painting, which brought together experts from different regions of the country. The program is organized by the Union of Restorers of Russia, the Vologda Archdiocese and the Regional Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites.

The participants of the school were young people from Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Vologda, Penza, Krasnoyarsk and Yelets. They will have to restore the objects of the Vologda Kremlin and icons.
At the moment, students are taking measurements, after which they will begin a graphic reconstruction. Work is underway in the Consistory Courtyard, on the North Wall and in the Economy Building. Some of the students are occupied by the walls of the Spaso-Prilutsky Monastery, the Vologda Region news agency reports.
