Ugra has 33 settlements in remote areas, where almost 14 thousand people live. Residents of these areas receive electricity from diesel and gas turbine power plants and small generators. The transfer of these settlements to centralized power supply is not economically feasible.
At the same time, maintenance of autonomous power supply sources is not an easy task for specialists. Fuel and spare parts for equipment repairs can only be imported during summer navigation or winter holidays.

To solve this problem, Ugra launched a project to create renewable energy sources. A few years ago, Yugraenergo Joint Stock Company built 3 solar power plants in three districts of the district. This made it possible to increase electricity generation and reduce costs. Carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 522 tons. At the moment, the company is working on 14 similar projects, the press service of the Ugra Department of Energy reports.
Earlier we wrote that in one of the cities of Ugra, the transport infrastructure is being updated.
