Lipetsk farmers are actively processing the sugar beet harvest. This year, the sugar content of the vegetable exceeded 19%, which is the second indicator in Russia. Farmers received 504,500 tons of finished product from 3.2 million tons of technical culture.

The Lipetsk region ranks second in the country in terms of sugar production. The region is also among the top five in terms of sugar content and output of finished products. In November, the figure of 4 million tons of harvested sugar beet was exceeded. Farmers will have to dig up a root crop from another 2,000 hectares, the Government of the Lipetsk region said.
