It is reported that last year, fish farming organizations produced 57 tons of sturgeon fish, 3 tons of whitefish, and 8 tons of carp. We also managed to obtain 16.7 tons of black caviar, which is 1.3 tons more than a year earlier.
In total, in 2024, regional fish hatcheries produced 1,145 tons of commercial fish, caviar and planting materials. 24 enterprises operating in the field of commercial fish farming have been registered in the region. 12 of them are already getting results, others are starting to implement projects.
The region has allocated 16 fish farming sites for commercial fish farming. Pasture, pond and recreational fish farming is developing here, the press service of the Vologda Oblast government said.
Rural areas of the Vologda region will be improved for 18 million rubles.
