The Turkish Stream pipeline, connecting Russia and Turkey through the Black Sea, is capable of transporting 31.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, ensuring the energy security of Turkey and the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe. At the moment, it is the only operating channel for the delivery of Russian natural gas to Europe. The launch site for the Turkish Stream is the Russian compressor station near Anapa.

According to the TASS analysis, gas exports through the pipeline to European countries increased by 23% in 2024, reaching a volume of 16.7 billion cubic meters. Of the total, the largest volume of 7.6 billion cubic meters was sent to Hungary.
