Banks will receive encouragement for fighting fraudsters

5th of December. /MEDIA TALK/. For banks that block questionable payments and return them to their customers' accounts, the National Payment Card System wants to introduce a reward system. Vedomosti writes about this today. As NSPK representative Georgy Dorofeev told reporters, the company plans to introduce incentives for those credit institutions that initiate customer refunds through the Goodwill service in 2025.

The exact conditions will be determined in the near future, presumably the bonus will be carried out on the principle of a bank commission in the form of a percentage of the amount of funds returned. As noted in the NSPK, about 40% of the fraud cases prevented by bank transfers are due to bank blockages.
