BYD has become the largest brand in China, partly due to its aggressive pricing strategy. Now the company is actively implementing this tactic in other parts of the world, seeking to strengthen its position abroad.
According to Bloomberg journalists, BYD officially entered the South Korean market only last month, and already prices for the BYD Atto 3 SUV are the lowest in the world outside of mainland China.

In Singapore, BYD has become the best-selling car brand, which is a notable achievement in one of the most expensive markets in the world. The company is also a leader among electric vehicles in Thailand. In Brazil, BYD sold 50% more passenger cars and commercial vehicles than Ford.
The European market turned out to be difficult for Breda after the introduction of 17% duties, and despite this, according to the publication, BYD became the best-selling Chinese automaker in the region in 2024, overtaking Tesla in the UK, Spain, Ireland and Portugal. At the beginning of 2025, the company aims to double its overseas sales, which increased by 83% in January.
BYD expects to sell between 5 and 6 million vehicles in 2025, which could make it a competitor to General Motors and Stellantis, despite the fact that the latter continue to sell cars with internal combustion engines, unlike the Chinese company, which only sells electric and hybrid cars.
