Diamonds have fallen in price by a quarter in a year
November 11th. /MEDIA TALK/. As the Vedomosti newspaper writes today with reference to the American diamond trading platform Rapaport, the value of these precious stones has reached a minimum since 2025. Diamonds weighing 1 carat have lost 23% in value since the beginning of the year, smaller stones have fallen in price by 28%. Experts attribute this trend to high competition in the market, as well as significant natural reserves.

Another factor is the decline in interest in natural stones among the younger generation, who prefer costume jewelry and other, more budget accessories.

Recall that in the first half of the year, EU revenues from diamond exports fell by almost one and a half times.
