FinExpertiza: informal employment in Russia increased by 13.2%
July 18th. /MEDIA TALK/. On Thursday, July 18, it became known that in January-March of this year, the number of Russians employed in the informal sector increased by 13.2% compared to the same period in 2023. Numerically, the figure reached +1.7 million citizens, TASS reported, citing data from the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.

Analysts have determined the share of the informal sector based on Rosstat data. The study by the state statistics service talked about the self-employed, sole proprietors and business employees who do not have registration as a legal entity. Such employees may include taxi drivers, construction workers, as well as lawyers and doctors working outside the corporate sector.
