Infoline added that, nevertheless, the indicator increased by 47% compared to April-June 2023. At the same time, the dynamics was higher in the first quarter — 55%.
Experts also found out that, as of March this year, 140 thousand couriers were missing in the Russian Federation. By the end of 2024, the figure may jump to 300 thousand people. Against this background, the business began to reduce delivery areas and raise prices for it depending on the remoteness of the areas.
Experts consider the recent mass poisoning of customers of the "Kitchen in the area" service with lobio salad to be another reason for the trend. Then two people died and several hundred were injured.
Recall that at the end of June it was reported that last year the number of registrations of courier companies in Russia increased by more than 50%. There are 4,760 new organizations in the country that deliver goods.
