Russian cider producers have warned of rising prices due to a shortage of apples
The 4th of October. /MEDIA TALK/.On Friday, October 4, it became known that cider may rise in price in Russia in 2025. One of the reasons was the shortage of apples, RBC reported, citing manufacturers of alcoholic beverages.

Market participants explained that the cost of fruits increased by 25-100% year on year, depending on the region, against the background of the May frosts, which destroyed part of the harvest. In the south, apples were not affected, but the varieties are not suitable for making a drink.

According to estimates by some cider producers, the fruit harvest for cider this year is at least three times lower.

Recall that in mid-July it was reported that North Korea would begin supplying apples to Russia. Before that, the country lowered the forecast for the harvest of the product from 1.8 to 1.5 million pieces.
