Online purchases account for an average of 16.2% of the total consumption structure. In remote regions such as Chukotka, Altai and the Magadan region, this indicator is significantly higher. The leaders in terms of online purchases have traditionally been Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region.
The most frequent online purchases were of food, household goods, household appliances and electronics, as well as clothing items and car parts. Experts from the Data Insight agency confirmed the growth of the market, estimating its volume at 10 trillion rubles, excluding cross-border trade. AKIT predicts that growth will remain at 40% in 2025, despite the fact that the market showed a slight slowdown in January.
