12th of February. /MEDIA TALK/. In the first decade of February 2025, the average maximum interest rate on ruble deposits in the ten largest banks in Russia decreased to 21.44% per annum.

According to the Bank of Russia, in the third decade of January it was 21.47%, and in the second decade - 21.52%. The list of banks included in the monitoring includes Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank, Alfa-Bank, Rosselkhoznadzor, Post Bank, Credit Bank of Moscow, T-Bank, Promsvyazbank and Sovcombank. The calculation takes into account the maximum deposit rates available to any client, without taking into account interest capitalization, additional conditions or changing rates.

The reduction in interest rates may be due to a decrease in the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, stabilization of inflation or a change in demand for deposits. For depositors, this means lower returns, so experts recommend paying attention to long-term deposits and monitoring changes in the market.

The average maximum rate in Russian financial institutions reached its maximum value in the second decade of December last year, amounting to 22.279%.
