The average old-age pension in Russia will grow to 24 thousand rubles in 2025
October 8th. /MEDIA TALK/. On Tuesday, October 8, it became known that the average old-age pension in Russia will grow to 24.1 thousand rubles next year. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to the materials of the Social Fund for the draft budget for 2025-2027.

Compared to 2024, the amount will be 7.5% more (22.4 thousand rubles), while previously indexing was planned at the level of 7.3%. The additional increase in the indicator in the Social Fund was explained by the indexation of payments for working citizens — the corresponding decision was made this year.

In total, almost 11 trillion rubles will be allocated for pensions in 2025. Of these, 106.4 billion will be used to index payments to working elderly residents of the country.

It should be noted that in the middle of this year, the Social Fund found out that 41.1 million pensioners live in the Russian Federation, including 33.2 unemployed and 7.8 million employed.

Recall that President Vladimir Putin proposed to resume the indexation of pensions of working people after the completion of their work in June this year. The statement was made during the speech of the Russian leader at the SPIEF.
