According to the agreement, the amount of support for Moldova in 2025 will reach €250 million, where €100 million will be allocated by the European Union by mid-April. In addition, Transnistria will receive support in the amount of 60 million euros.
It is assumed that the agreements between Chisinau and Brussels will have a positive impact on the residents of the region who are experiencing difficulties due to the increase in energy costs.
Recall that since January 10, 2025, the cost of electricity and heat supply has almost doubled in Moldova. In the future, the country can strengthen its energy security and completely stop dependence on Russian fuel sources, the European Commission believes.
