This week, the State Duma plans to consider a bill that introduces a cooling-off period for consumer loans. In addition, the document includes restrictions on the use of tokenized (digital) cards and provides for accelerated data exchange between banks and credit bureaus. These steps are aimed at preventing impulsive decisions by citizens who may become victims of fraud.
From March 1, 2025, Russians will be able to set a self-lock for new loans, some banks have already launched such a service. In the future, it is planned to create an institution of trusted persons, which will allow citizens to delegate confirmation of their financial transactions to loved ones.
