November 26th. /MEDIA TALK/. Today, the State Duma adopted a law on increasing income tax rates for the period from 2025 to 2030 for natural monopoly companies that transport oil through main pipelines up to 40%. In the current tax period, Transneft PJSC is taxed at a rate of 20%.

In an official statement, the company posted a statement on planned reductions in investment costs due to an increase in the rate. It is reported that Transneft operates main pipelines built in the 50s and 60s of the 20th century, and incurs significant costs for their maintenance and renovation. In addition, a large expense item is paying for the work of more than 120 thousand employees and paying dividends to shareholders. The company noted unprecedented external pressure on the country's oil and gas industry.

The company noted the importance of indexing tariffs for its services, starting from December 6, the cost of pumping petroleum products in some areas will increase by 13.8%.
