Yandex spent 46.5 billion to attract taxi drivers in 2024

December 3. /MEDIA TALK/. By the end of the calendar year, Yandex Taxi's expenses for attracting drivers will exceed 50 billion rubles. The company informed TASS about this. The increase in spending for these purposes is already 37%, compared with 2023. The aggregator noted that investments in attracting drivers are a regular measure taken by the company on the eve of peak seasons, such as New Year holidays. However, the shortage of personnel is extremely high, and the demand for taxi services remains high. And despite the efforts of the platform, it has not yet been possible to solve the problem of imbalance, which in turn leads to an increase in travel prices.

As noted in the company, the shortage of personnel in taxis now amounts to about 130 thousand drivers across the country. A year ago, the deficit was 80 thousand. Among the reasons for the personnel shortage is the tightening of migration policy, as well as regulatory measures in taxis.
