
Alexander Beglov signed the amendments to the Social Code of St. Petersburg. They imply that the participants of the Great Patriotic War will increase annual payments for the anniversaries of Victory.
From 2025, residents of St. Petersburg and citizens without a fixed place of residence who are able to confirm their last place of residence in St. Petersburg (Leningrad) will receive 15,000 rubles each year. Previously, the amount of the payment was 10,000 rubles.

The changes relate to the disabled, participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention created by the Nazis and their allies, and survivors of the siege of Leningrad.
Widows and widowers of deceased disabled people and WWII participants and persons born before 09/03/1945 will receive 10,000 rubles each, the Administration of St. Petersburg said.
