The head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory awarded a veteran of the Great Patriotic War with a medal in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory.
February 7. /MEDIA TALK/. Mikhail Kotyukov, the head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, visited Semyon Semyonovich Grishanov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, and on behalf of the President of Russia awarded the WWII participant with a jubilee medal dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory.

Semyon Semyonovich was drafted to the front at the age of 17 in 1943. He was a mortar gunner and participated in offensive operations, the liberation of Poland and Czechoslovakia, stormed Berlin. The man was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the First Degree, medals For Bravery, For the Capture of Berlin, For the Liberation of Prague, and other awards.

Semyon Semenovich is the first resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to receive a jubilee medal in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Also at the beginning of the year, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the city of Krasnoyarsk."

The governor wished the veteran good health and invited him to attend events dedicated to the Great Victory Day, the regional government said.
