The Pushkin Museum of Local Lore is located on Moskovsky Prospekt, at No. 35. The building has an unusual history. It is still unknown who built it. According to one version, it was built for Ludwig Rabenek, a textile manufacturer, as a summer cottage. And then, before the revolution, the merchant Mitrofan Mikhailov owned the house. Actually, by the name of these two people, the building got its name – "Rabenek-Mikhailov's Cottage".
After 1918, there was an orphanage here, then an ambulance department, Pushkin auction, a police department, a military enlistment office, and finally in 1980 the house was given over to a museum of local lore.
The wooden three-storey mansion was built in the neo-Russian style. It has a veranda, bay window, balconies and a terrace. The supporting frame of the house is a "support pillar" in the stairway, and on the ground floor there are ceilings of different levels, thus creating an architectural round dance.
The museum's collection includes over 7,000 exhibits. It contains rare remains of the 12th century Krivichi and Vyatichi, objects of the history of the city of Pushkino, industry, personal belongings of Inessa Armand and the artist Yevgeny Kamzolkin.
The mansion is an object of cultural heritage of the Moscow region of regional significance.
Earlier, we told you that a second modular library was opened in Pushkinsky near Moscow.
