The Fazenda recreation center in the village of Kochelaevo in the Kovylkinsky district of Mordovia received six hundred tourists over the summer. Its owner Natalia Lisina believes that the first year was a success - the base and the excursions they developed were popular with visitors.
Last year, the recreation center project in the village of Kochelaevo won a grant under the federal program "Agrotourism". The state has allocated 5 million rubles for development. Another 1.5 million rubles under the terms of the project were invested by the owners themselves. They used them to build one two-story frame house and two summer houses on rented land. Also on the territory there was a building of a Russian bathhouse, sports and children's playgrounds, a swimming pool, a hearth.

Of course, Natalia Lisina says, they invested much more of their own funds than the conditions of the grant required. But it was worth it. In the summer, the base was not empty. Excursions to the cattle farm, where Aberdeen Angus cows are bred, were organized for everyone. Here you could hand-feed horses with foals, as well as walk around the apiary and buy honey.
The base is still working, tourists come mainly on holidays and weekends. And by the New Year holidays, they plan to build a winter gazebo at the base.
It should be noted that this year, within the framework of the Agrotourism program, another project was selected in the Kovylkinsky district. Businessman Evgeny Mozgachev will be involved in the implementation of the Fishing in Kalinovka project. In 2025, he plans to build a house for fishermen and two frame houses to receive tourists. The state will provide 8 million rubles in the form of a federal grant for the implementation of the project. The entrepreneur will have to invest another 2 million rubles from his own funds.
