The solemn lighting of the Olympic Flame, timed to coincide with the start of the Russian Way bike and motorcycle race, took place in Krasnogorsk. The city has already received the flame of the Olympic Games in Sochi once. That year, the first point on the route was the Arkhangelsk Estate Museum, and the final one was the Zorky Stadium.

This time, the start of the run was given on the square of the Palace of Culture "Moscow region". The ceremony associated with the opening of the alternative Olympic cycling and moto run "Russian Way" was attended by members of the city Administration, representatives of the Night Wolves motorcycle club, the titled Paralympic cyclist from the Moscow region Alexey Obydennov, who became world champion three times and world record holder twice.

During the solemn event, the torch passed from Mikhail Brednev, the master of sports in football, who twice became the national champion in this sport, the winner of the bronze medal of the European Championship, as well as the winner of the 200th Paralympic Games, to Al Bochkaev, the head of the Department for Physical culture and sports.

The participants of the race made an honorary circle around the stadium and lit the symbolic Olympic flame. His flame is the personification of the Russian spirit of victory, which lives in each of us. The fire was transferred to Alexey Obydenny.
