The renovation of the surgical building of the Kovylkin Central District Hospital in Mordovia began in February this year. By the summer, the contractor's teams had completed all the dismantling work and overhauled the water supply and sanitation systems. Now the builders are re-laying the roof, plastering the walls and carrying out electrics.

The contract was signed in the amount of more than 67 million rubles. The first patients are expected here in May next year. Builders report that they are on schedule, and some types of work are performed ahead of schedule.
The two-storey building will be upgraded. According to Vladimir Shukshin, the chief physician of the Kovylkinsky district Hospital, they plan to open a dental clinic on the ground floor. Patients will be admitted not only from their own, but also from neighboring areas.
