This year, major repairs were carried out in 144 apartment buildings in Irkutsk. In total, the authorities plan to upgrade communal property in 425 residential buildings by the end of December. At the moment, work is continuing in 281 buildings. Money for the work was allocated from the regional Capital Repair Fund.

In each house, the list of services provided has become individual. Somewhere, workers were putting the roof in order, somewhere they painted facades and modernized the heating and water supply system, changed the power grid. It is also reported that the replacement of 18 elevators is planned. Of these, 7 have already been installed.
At the moment, the survey of houses included in the list of those subject to major repairs in 2025 is underway. Following the results of the work, residents will be offered to choose their preferred services. Decisions will be made by general meetings of apartment owners, the press service of the Irkutsk City Hall reports.
