The head of the Russian Cheer Sports Union came to the Tyumen region to discuss the development of this area in the region. There are about 15 disciplines in cheer sports, which are divided into artistic, acrobatic and "baton twirling".
There are several cheer sports sections in the region in Tyumen, Tobolsk, Yalutorovsk and the Tyumen region. They are visited by more than 700 people.

Competitions in this field are held in the Tyumen region every year. The regional Department of Sports reported that at the moment they are discussing holding an all-Russian tournament in the region in 2025.
Also, cheer sports can be introduced into the system of additional education in children's and youth centers. This will require qualified trainers. Targeted recruitment to the Institute of Physical Education of Tyumen State University is being considered for these purposes, the press service of the Tyumen regional government reported.
