The Ministry of Sports told where the proceeds from the lotteries will be sent. This year, thanks to gambling, the country's budget has been replenished by 2.6 billion rubles.
Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state-owned, and the organizers are the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Finance. The money coming from gambling is directed to the development of physical education in the country. Lotteries are under the control of the Federal Tax Service.

Last year, the federal treasury was replenished by 2.4 billion rubles. This year, at the beginning of November, receipts amounted to 2.6 billion rubles. First, the funds go to the budget, after which they are redirected to finance various facilities and activities, including physical education, sports, high-performance sports and training of the sports reserve.
By 2028, the projected amount of budget revenues from lotteries will reach 5 billion rubles. This is due to the fact that the organizers will send a fixed percentage of the revenue to the budget. It will be gradually increased from 4.2% in 2025 to 5.5% in 2028, the Parliamentary Newspaper reports.
