About 72,000 hectares of forest will be restored in the Vologda Region this year.
February 4th. /MEDIA TALK/. The Vologda Oblast authorities have planned to restore more than 72,000 hectares of forest this year. The work will be carried out within the framework of the national project "Environmental well-being".

According to the governor of the region, Georgy Filimonov, the main task is to restore high-quality forests in the region. Artificial reforestation in 2025 will be carried out on an area of 8,100 hectares. The work on the conservation and enhancement of the natural resources of the Vologda region is under the personal control of the Governor.

Last year, it was possible to restore the forest on the territory of 90,100 hectares. This became a record for the region and the fourth result in Russia.

Seedlings for these works are being prepared by a complex for the cultivation of planting materials with a closed root system and the processing of seed materials. The Vologda Region is the leader in the number of nurseries that grow tree seedlings, the press service of the regional government said.

Recall that in the Vologda region, the sowing campaign may begin earlier than usual.
