Rostec State Corporation has launched a household waste power plant for the first time in the country.
December 29. /MEDIA TALK/. The first of the five enterprises appeared in the urban district of Voskresensk, Moscow region.

RT-invest Group of Companies, part of Rostec, has launched the country's first power plant powered by household waste. The company was built in Voskresensk, Moscow region. It will reach its planned capacity in the first quarter of 2025.

According to the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, the project was almost completely implemented using private investments and bank financing. The company is revolutionary for the energy and ecology of Russia.

Sorting and recycling of garbage can lead to the abandonment of the use of landfills. Also, such complexes will help reduce the level of environmental pollution. The output is new recycled materials and electricity. This is the first of five planned facilities of this level.

The plant's capacity will be 700,000 tons of household waste per year. The power plant will produce 520 million kWh of green energy per year. At the moment, three more plants are being built in the Moscow region and one in Tatarstan, TASS reports.
