January 14th. /MEDIA TALK/. The first wind turbine has been installed at the Novolakskaya wind farm in Dagestan. It reaches 150 meters in height, which is comparable to a 45-storey building. The weight of the 50-meter blades is 7.5 tons.

The wind blades are manufactured at the Ulyanovsk plant. They are made of composite materials. In total, the company will produce blades for 120 wind turbines of the Novolakskaya wind farm.
The wind farm should reach a capacity of 300 MW. The facility will be built and put into operation in 2 stages. In 2025, 61 wind turbines with a capacity of 152.5 MW are planned to be installed and launched. In 2026, 59 more installations for 147.5 MW will be launched.
The Novolakskaya wind farm will be the largest of its kind in Russia. This project was created by Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC, the Ministry of Energy and Tariffs of Dagestan said.
